The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the digital age is raising important societal concerns, particularly about generative AI and its implications. Far-right extremist groups have been known to utilize AI technologies for various purposes, including disseminating propaganda, recruiting new members, spreading misinformation and disinformation, and amplifying extremist ideologies. While in its infancy, far-right use of AI is growing, with tactics, knowledge, and technology changing rapidly. The objective of this report is to document this early adoption of AI by collecting and monitoring far-right chats, forums, platforms, and message boards, assessing the impact of AI, and providing recommendations to relevant stakeholders. Findings from this analysis will prove integral to the development of effective countermeasures to identify and deter AI misuse to disseminate hate content on social media platforms.
